Alaska springtime photos, and no poem

I wanted to showcase one of my favorite poems by Evan Nagle, but alas, my main computer is temporarily down and I can’t access my files. So I’m posting photos of a recent run/hike up Powerline Pass Trail instead.

While most of you folks in the Lower 48 are wearing shorts, this is Alaska springtime, hee, hee. Beautiful and sunny, but still unfortunately cold.

Still, a breeze blew through the spruce trees and there was no one else around but me, my partner and the dog. Pure and total bliss.

Enjoy!

And these are from a 16-mile run along the Coastal Trail. I love shadows across the ice blocks on the beach, and how everything looks so timeless and untouched. Such beauty in such a cold place!
